My site is under construction. In the further course I will detail the technique part here.

Currently I am working with an ASI290mm mini and a Celestron C8. ASI290MM Mini camera integrates Sony IMX290 sensor (5.6 mm x 3.2 mm). This camera has 1936 x 1096 pixels and a pixel size of 2.9 μm x 2.9 μm. This camera provides 12bit ADC and its QE peak is over 80%. ASI290 mini camera offers a good performance and I use it for lucky imaging (DSO) imaging and EAA. The best of all, low read noise and QE peak > 80%.

Areas of application:

Gain 0-50            : long time exposures, high dynamics, low frame rate, high read noise

Gain 100-120     : standard, compromise of dynamics and read noise

Gain 300-350     : lucky imaging, EAA, high frame rate, low read noise

I use a simple 0.5x reducer, which reduces the focal length to about 1000 mm. With pixel size of 2.9 μm, the result is a resolution of about 0.59 arc seconds / pixel. The theoretical resolution (Dawes) according of a Celestron C8 should be 0.57 arc seconds. The resolution of pixel size and optical resolution at least theoretically fit together.
